Here are some shots of my Digiscope rig. I use a Swarovski ST-HD-80 scope coupled to a Canon Powershot G2 Digital Camera. Note that the camera is not included in the pictures because it was busy… :-)
The platform is made out of TIG welded aluminum channel and other various parts lying about the garage. The camera is attached to the scope via a Scoptronix MaxView 40mm eyepiece, and their Canon G2 adapter. That slides into a Swarovski 1 1/4" Astronomical eyepiece adapter mounted on the scope. I also use a 10mm Tele Vue Radian on occasion for smaller birds.
The tripod mount slides inside of the narrow front channel and allows the balance point to be set depending on the eyepiece being used. The rear of the mount is slotted for ~7 inches to allow a variety of eyepiece combinations, and I use a mechanical shutter release that clips to the side of main platform.
The whole setup is normally attached to a Bogen 3130 Video pan head on a Bogen 3040 tripod.
